Botox or Dysport?

Part two in a series
Like most women in their 40’s and 50’s (some even younger), I have started to notice lines in my forehead, and the dreaded “11” frown lines between my eyes. I decided to do some research on the differences between Botox® and Dysport®. Both are a form of injectable botulinum toxin that is injected into muscles, used to temporarily and cosmetically improve the look of both moderate to severe crow’s feet lines and frown lines between the eyebrows in adults. Botox® takes a bit longer to see the results, usually visible within 1-2 weeks, and lasts about 3-4 months, producing a tight shiny forehead without wrinkles, taking years off the face. Dysport® visible results vary, however, they are seen much faster, anywhere from 2 days to a week, lasting perhaps a bit longer in some, 4-5 months, with lines disappearing, but having a softer less tight looking result. I would recommend either one depending on your needs, and what effect you personally want; one of the Nurse injectors at Gentle Aesthetics can consult with you before you have this minor, painless, procedure. Both of Botox® and Dysport® cost about the same price, priced per units used in the area being treated. Call today for your consultation!
